A crispy chicken burger starts with the right pairing

Crispy chicken benefits from contrast: soft bread, something fresh and a sauce or relish that completes the dish. A few well-chosen products can turn the same chicken into a lunch special, a pub meal or a hot bar snack. The Family Chicken Crunchy Hot & Spicy fillet burger already brings its own seasoning; the bun and toppings set the direction.

Green Acres supplies Family Chicken to trade customers in the Netherlands. Buy the chicken alongside Kara buns, Folláin and Ballymaloe relishes, cheddar and Lamb Weston fries. These are our own serving ideas for putting those products together.

1. Spicy chicken bap with red onion and black garlic

Start with the 110 g chicken burger and a Kara Floured Bap. The lightly floured, soft white bap keeps the crisp chicken centre stage. Toast the cut faces, spread on a little Folláin Caramelised Red Onion Relish with Black Garlic and add fresh lettuce. A little grated red cheddar adds a savoury, creamy layer.

The relish brings sweet onion and a mellow, deep garlic note. Start with a thin layer so the chicken stays at the centre. For a more classic burger presentation, try 5-inch Kara Seeded Buns. Choose one bun and a consistent build for busy lunch service.

2. Chicken strips with pepper or tomato relish

Classic American Chicken Strips are generous chicken tenders with a seasoned, crisp coating. Layer them in a toasted bun with lettuce, or serve a portion with a relish of your choice. Folláin Chargrilled Red Pepper Relish adds a sweet pepper note; Irish Tomato Relish brings fruity sweet-and-sour contrast.

For guests who prefer more heat, choose American Chicken Strips Hot & Spicy. The regular Chicken Strips provide a milder base. This lets you adapt the dish without changing the entire preparation routine.

3. Loaded chicken fries with cheddar

Use 11 × 11 mm Lamb Weston skin-on Stealth Fries as the base and add the prepared chicken strips just before serving. Scatter over a modest amount of red cheddar, keeping the crisp chicken visible. For higher volumes, the fries also come as a case of 4 × 2.5 kg.

Serve tomato or pepper relish in a separate ramekin. Guests can decide how much to add, and the fries are not all covered in sauce. Finish with a little finely sliced spring onion from your kitchen if desired. Weigh the fries, cheese and relish per portion and set a consistent number of strips.

4. A sharing platter with wings and boneless bites

Hotwings Krokant and Hotwings Crispy offer two different crisp coatings. Add Hot & Spicy Chicken Bites for guests who prefer boneless chicken to dip. Serve Ballymaloe Original Relish in a 5 kg catering tub alongside for a fruity, sweet-and-sour note.

Keep a sharing platter focused: two chicken varieties and two dips are often enough. Make the distinction between bone-in wings and boneless bites clear when serving. A bowl of fries can make the dish more substantial; there is no need to coat every piece of chicken in sauce.

Turn the serving idea into a practical menu dish

Prepare each chicken product according to its current label: strips, wings and burgers do not necessarily share the same cooking time. Assemble just before serving and keep wet toppings restrained. Fresh lettuce and garnishes come from your kitchen; the linked chicken, buns, relishes, cheese and fries are in our range.

Before launch, set the portions and full food cost, including the bun, relish, cheese, fries, garnish and any takeaway packaging. Follow every component’s specification for storage, allergens and preparation. A small trial service helps establish a build that works for your kitchen and pass.
