The family behind the loaf
From Galway to a Dublin bakery.
In 1945, Malcolm McCambridge moved from Galway to Ranelagh in Dublin to open a bakery. He brought the family’s wholewheat bread recipe with him. His son John helped carry that tradition forward; John’s signature still appears on the packaging.
Today, McCambridge Bread is based in Rathcoole, County Dublin. Its original wholewheat loaf remains at the heart of a wider bread range.

Is this bread gluten-free?
No. This is wholewheat bread and contains wheat (gluten). McCambridge’s also makes a separate gluten-free range; those products are not the loaves shown here. Ask us for the current specification if you need the complete ingredients and allergen information.
Is it supplied fresh or frozen?
Both Green Acres listings are supplied frozen. Follow the current packaging or product specification for storage, thawing and use after thawing.
Is it a bread mix or a finished loaf?
These listings are for finished wholewheat loaves. They are not the McCambridge Bread Tin Bakery home-baking mix.
