A significant addition for the Dutch market
Green Acres has secured a distribution deal with Valeo Foods Ireland for the Netherlands. The deal gives our trade customers one local point of contact for a broad portfolio of recognised Irish food brands.
It goes well beyond the ten Valeo products currently shown as stocked lines in our online catalogue. Customers can also ask us for other products across the grocery and professional foodservice portfolio. Relatively small minimum order quantities are possible for many lines, helping a hotel, restaurant, retailer or wholesaler test demand without committing to an impractically large opening order.
A portfolio woven into Irish food culture
Valeo Foods Ireland brings together an exceptional collection of brands. Its current brand overview includes Odlums, Batchelors, Chef, Erin, Roma, Robert Roberts, Shamrock, Fruitfield, Goodall’s of Ireland and Kelkin.
Together they span breakfast, home baking, beans and pulses, sauces and table condiments, coffee and tea, preserves, ingredients and professional kitchen products. Several have histories stretching back more than a century: Odlums dates to 1845, Robert Roberts to 1905, Chef to 1921 and Batchelors to 1935. It is easy to understand why Valeo Foods Ireland describes itself as the “home of Irish food”.
On its current company page, Valeo Foods Ireland says it employs around 600 people in Ireland and that more than 275 million of its products were purchased by consumers in a year. At group level, Valeo Foods currently reports approximately €2 billion in sales, more than 80 international brands and around 5,500 employees.
What the distribution deal means in practice
- One Netherlands supplier: enquiries, quotations and deliveries are handled through Green Acres.
- More than the standard range: customers can request Valeo products not yet shown on our website.
- Retail and foodservice: we can investigate consumer packs, catering formats and professional ingredients.
- Relatively small MOQs: where the product and logistics allow, we can make an opening order practical without full-container or full-trailer volumes.

From Chef and Batchelors to the wider portfolio
Our current stocked selection includes products from Chef, Batchelors, Erin and Odlums: Chef Brown Sauce and malt vinegar, Batchelors beans and mushy peas, Erin gravy and Odlums soda bread mix. Those products remain easy to find in our catalogue, but they do not define the limit of what we can supply.
